Parking Sticker Information

Due to the safety of our residents, Town of Brookhaven Parking Stickers are only available for purchase online.

Price 

Residents

Seniors, Handicapped Residents and Veterans

The price for a senior citizen (60+), handicapped resident or veteran is $5.00. Handicapped residents must present their BLUE permanent placard, not the RED temporary placard. Learn more about parking permits for persons with disabilities

Disabled Veterans

Disabled veterans that are Brookhaven residents will receive a free sticker (must show United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued identification card stating “Service Connected” disability). Please call the Parks Department 631-451-6101 for assistance.

Non-Residents

Proof of Residency

Resident

Current Motor Vehicle Registration (required) showing Town of Brookhaven physical address and one of the following:

  • New York State Driver License (or DMV issued Non-Driver Photo ID) with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address linking to address shown on registration
  • Town of Brookhaven tax bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address linking to address shown on registration
  • Current utility bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address linking to address shown on registration
  • Voter registration with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address

If current Motor Vehicle Registration has a PO Box must provide one of the following: 

  • New York State Driver License with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address
  • Town of Brookhaven tax bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address linking to PO Box
  • Current utility bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address linking to PO Box
  • Voter registration with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address

Non-Resident Property Owner

To receive a parking sticker for access to Town parks and facilities, a current Motor Vehicle Registration and one of the following items are required:

  •  Current Driver License with matching name AND current Town of Brookhaven Tax bill showing same mailing address as Driver License
  • Current Driver License with matching name AND current utility bill for service to Town of Brookhaven property showing same mailing address as Driver License

Company Cars Must Provide

  • Current Motor Vehicle Registration
  • An original letter on Company letterhead stating the resident/non-resident property owner, has been assigned that particular vehicle for the year, giving vehicle information (year, make, model, VIN #), listing the resident/non-resident property owner’s name as sole driver, and address as it appears on the driver license, the company’s name and address as it appears on the car registration and the signature of the company’s CEO.
  • Two of the following:
    • New York State Driver License with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address
    • Town of Brookhaven tax bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven  physical address
    • Current utility bill with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address
    • Voter registration with matching name showing Town of Brookhaven physical address

Placards

Residents with Disabilities Who Don’t Drive

To receive a parking placard for parking at Town locations for individuals with disabilities who don’t drive, please call the Parks Department 631-451-6101 for assistance.

Must present BLUE permanent placard for persons with disabilities (not the RED temporary one) and photo ID showing Town of Brookhaven residency.

Replacement Stickers

Fee

There is a $5.00 fee for any replacement sticker. 

Rules

The original sticker taken from the vehicle is required in order to receive a replacement sticker. The sticker is designed to shred when removed. Mail in your request for a replacement with as much of the sticker as possible with the sticker number and copies of your vehicle registration and driver license showing your physical address to Parks Administration, 286 Hawkins Road, Centereach, NY 11720.  If the sticker is not returned (no photos), the prevailing rate applies.
