Airport Fee Structures

The following are the various types of fees charged by the Brookhaven Calabro Airport (HWV). All fee structures are effective as of April 1, 2022.

Fees for Aircraft Based at Brookhaven Calabro Airport (HWV)

Landing fees are proportionally based on the certified Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of each aircraft and may be billed at either arrival or departure. There is a $2.00 minimum fee. The fee rate for HWV-based aircraft is fifty ($0.50) cents for each 1,000 lbs. certified MTOW, rounded to the nearest 1,000 lbs., for aircraft less than 12,500 lbs. certified MTOW.

For aircraft based at HWV with a certified MTOW weight more than 12,500 lbs., the fee rate is seventy ($0.70) cents for each 1,000 lbs. certified MTOW, rounded to the nearest 1,000lbs. and may be billed at arrival or departure.

Fees for Aircraft Not Based at Brookhaven Calabro Airport

Landing fees are proportionally based on the certified MTOW of each aircraft, rounded to the nearest 1,000 lbs., and may be billed at either arrival or departure. There is a $7.00 minimum fee. The fee rate is one dollar ($1.00) for each 1,000 lbs., rounded to the nearest 1,000 lbs. of certified MTOW for aircraft less than 12,500 lbs. and may be billed at either arrival or departure.

For aircraft from 12,500 lbs. to 70,000 lbs., the rate is $1.50 for each 1,000 lbs., rounded to the nearest 1,000 lbs., of certified MTOW and may be billed at either arrival or departure.

For aircraft exceeding 70,000 lbs., the rate is $2.00 for each 1,000 lbs., or rounded to the nearest 1,000 lbs., of certified MTOW and may be billed at either arrival or departure.

Helicopter landing fee: $20.00 and may be billed at arrival or departure.

Miscellaneous

There are no HWV landing fees for aircraft owned or operated by the Federal Government or New York State.

Overnight Aircraft Parking Fees for HWV's Public Ramp

  • Single engine $10.00
  • Multi-engine $20.00

Use of the HWV's Terminal by Owners/Operators of Commercial Charter Aircraft That are not HWV Based:

  • Single engine $15.00
  • Multi-engine $20.00

Tiedown Fees

  • Single engine $95.00 each month
  • Multi-engine $105.00 each month

Public Ramp Fee for Non-HWV Aircraft (fees are in addition to applicable landing fees)

  • Up to 2 hours:
    • Single engine $5.00
    • Multi-engine $7.50
  • 2 to 4 hours:
    • Single engine $7.50
    • Multi-engine $10.00

"Touch and Go" Operations

Touch and go operations, which are defined as "an operation by an aircraft that lands and departs on a runway without stopping or exiting the runway" (FAA Pilot/Controller Glossary), are not encouraged at HWV between 2300 hours and 0700 hours, or on Saturdays or Sundays. Aircraft performing touch and go operations must avoid intersection take-offs.

If photography or videography at the airport necessitate travelling on or across runways or taxiway, that travel must be accompanied by HWV personnel. The fee for this roundtrip accompanied escort is $150.00.
