Animal Control is a community resource and helps to keep our neighborhoods safe. Officers respond to and pick up lost and stray dogs seven days a week as well as sick and injured stray cats. Those animals are brought back to the Animal Shelter where every attempt to locate the owner is made.
Animal Control Officers
Animal Control Officers have micro-chip scanners on their trucks and will use them with every pick up in hopes of locating the animal's family.
Animal Control Officers patrol our streets and neighborhoods where we have experienced complaints and prior issues.
Animal Control Officers work closely with the Police Department, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Building Department and Rescue groups for the good of the animals in question.
