Vehicle Control is an internal service division within the General Services Department of the Town of Brookhaven. It provides maintenance and repair services for the Town’s fleet of vehicles and equipment, writes specifications and acquires new and replacement vehicles and equipment.

Abandoned Vehicles

Brookhaven Town will only pick up an abandoned vehicle on a Town road that does NOT have license plates. Do not report burned vehicles to the Town of Brookhaven. The Suffolk County Police Department must contact us before we may impound a burned vehicle

Report an Abandoned Vehicle on a Town Road

You can use our online system to report an abandoned vehicle in Brookhaven. You will be required to enter your contact information, the location of the abandoned vehicle and a description of the abandoned vehicle into our online form. Once submitted, the request is routed to our Vehicle Control Office who will process the request.
