Snow Removal

During any given snow storm, the Brookhaven Highway Department has 250 pieces of equipment out on the roadways. Depending on the circumstances of a storm, crews may put brine down to pre-treat the roads in anticipation of a storm’s arrival. In the case of severe inclement weather, an additional 250 to 500 outside vendors may be called in to assist with the snow removal operation.
