Swimming Lessons

The Town of Brookhaven is proud to offer one of the finest swimming programs available on Long Island. Swim lessons are taught by Red Cross certified instructors.

Placement in swim levels will be based on our records for returning students. New students will be placed based upon answers to questions on registration forms.  All children will be individually assessed on first day of lessons and placed in a class according to their ability. Our goal is to focus on your child's safety and comfort in and around the water.

Parent and Child lessons are for children 2 and 3 years old.  Child must be 2 years old by August 1, 2022.

Beginner Readiness lessons are for children 4 and 5 years old.  Child must be 4 years old by August 1, 2022.

For Levels 1-2-3 children must be 6 years old by August1, 2022.
