The Town of Brookhaven Department of Housing and Human Services is excited to become its own HUD grantee in 2018. Previously a member of the Suffolk County Consortium, the Town is now an independent grantee and welcomes the opportunity to prepare this 5-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan, as required by HUD. The Consolidated Plan covers the period of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022 and the Annual Action Plan covers the period of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

2019 Approved Annual Plan
The Town of Brookhaven Department of Housing and Human Services was excited to become its own HUD grantee in 2018. Previously a member of the Suffolk County Consortium, the Town is now an independent grantee and welcomes the opportunity to prepare its 2019 Annual Action Plan under its Five Year Consolidated Strategy and Plan for Housing and Community Development Programs, as required by HUD. The Consolidated Plan covers the period of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022 and the Annual Action Plan covers the period of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice
The Town of Brookhaven Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice 2019 is submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of the Town’s 2018-2022 Consolidated Strategy and Plan. The Town of Brookhaven conducted this Analysis of Impediments through its Department of Housing and Human Services. Technical assistance was provided by the Town’s consultants, VHB, with significant input from Long Island Housing Services, other Town and Suffolk County agencies, other non-profit organizations and the public.
