This program is designed to help unemployed and under-employed women gain professional skills, accelerate their job search and build confidence through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment.
The six-session program will cover:
Strategies to succeed in today’s job market
Customizing and composing your resumé and cover letters that will make a difference
Work with a professional career mentor
Navigating LinkedIn and other social media for job leads, and much more
Participants will also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with professional career coaches and build a personal network in a small, supportive environment with other women.
When and Where
The session dates are September 19 (orientation) and 26, October 2, 10, 17, 24 and 31 (graduation) from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
The Career EDGE sessions will be held in the second floor Planning Conference Room at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville.
