Terms and Conditions

You must agree to the terms and conditions below before making any online payment to the Town of Brookhaven.

Please be advised that the Town of Brookhaven does not receive the Convenience Fee. That fee is paid directly to the Processing Company.

Credit Card Payments

  • I hereby acknowledge and approve the payment of a convenience fee of 2.35% or a minimum of $1.50
  • I hereby acknowledge that if I dispute a charge, my transaction will be voided, and I will incur a $75 administrative fee

E-check Payments (available for select online applications only)

  • I hereby authorize the Town of Brookhaven to debit my account for the total amount of the transaction
  • I hereby acknowledge that I will incur a convenience fee of $1.75
  • I hereby acknowledge that if my payment fails to clear my bank or I dispute the charge for any reason other than actual fraud or Town error, my transaction will be voided and I will incur a $75 administrative fee
  • I hereby acknowledge that the transaction will be initiated today and may take several days to be debited from my bank account.

Refund Policy

The Brookhaven Town Board has adopted an official Refund Policy (PDF).

Allowable Reasons for Refund and Administrative Fees

  • No refunds shall be issued for purchases of $30 or less unless the Town caused the need for the refund.
  • All Refunds must be requested by the constituent within 60 days of purchase.
  • For Refunds requested due to Town errors or cancellations, a full refund will be issued, with no administrative fees retained.
  • For Refunds requested by a constituent due to a documented and unforeseen medical emergency, the Supervisor or Deputy Supervisor may, at his or her discretion, waive this Town Board Refund Policy.
  •  For Refunds requested by a constituent due to “Buyer’s Remorse” or Constituent error, a $30 Administrative Fee, or 15% of the amount to be refunded, will be deducted from the refund amount, whichever is the higher amount.
