Farmingville, NY – Farmingville, NY - Recently, Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright was on hand for three special holiday celebrations in Council District 1. At the Port Jefferson / Terryville Chamber of Commerce’s train car in Port Jefferson Station on December 1, the Councilwoman attended the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony where happy children got the chance to meet Santa Claus and enjoy music, refreshments and gifts. On December 2, she joined Rabbi Aaron Benson and members of the North Shore Jewish Center to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. Also, on December 2, Councilwoman Cartright attended the Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s 39th annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Reception at the Stony Brook Village Center.
Councilwoman Cartright said, “There is nothing quite like the holidays to bring people together to celebrate and share this wonderful time of the year. I wish everyone the very best and hope they have a safe holiday season and a very happy New Year.”
