Farmingville, NY – On December 4, Councilwoman Valerie M. Cartright (left photo, center) attended the official ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Suffolk Federal’s 10th branch located at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. The new branch follows the recent merger of Suffolk Federal and Long Island Community Federal Credit Union. Suffolk Federal, established more than 50 years ago, has four Brookhaven Town branches in Port Jefferson, Medford, Eastport and Miller Place.
Councilwoman Cartright said, “I am happy to welcome Suffolk Federal to their new branch at St. Charles Hospital and wish them the best of luck. It’s a company that has made a big investment in the community and provides hundreds of jobs for our residents. They also sponsor many events to help the needy, the environment and other worthy causes that make Brookhaven a better place to live.”
