Farmingville, NY –  On December 11, Councilman Dan Panico (left) was joined by Suffolk County Legislator Rudy Sunderman (right) at the demolition of an abandoned house located at 15 Market Street in Mastic Beach. The house, which was vacant for many years, was seized by Suffolk County as a property tax forfeiture and transferred to the Town. It was demolished by the Town’s Department of Recycling and Sustainable Materials Management and the property will be preserved as open space.

“Blighted houses that qualify to be demolished are coming down to improve our communities. I’m glad that Legislator Sunderman was able to help facilitate the transfer of this County-owned home, and I look forward to working together to improve our communities.” Councilman Dan Panico
