Farmingville, NY – At the January 31 Town Board meeting, Councilman Kevin LaValle honored Michael Pam’s Black Belt Champions in Centereach for being named Business of the Month for January in Council District 3. The award is given each month to a business that deserves special recognition for the positive impact that they have on the community. During the presentation, Councilman LaValle commended the owner, Michael Pam, for providing youngsters a place to build confidence through Tae Kwan Do and other martial arts for the past 26 years. He teaches self-defense, the importance of respect, discipline, and kindness. Michael conducts free bully prevention and “stranger danger” classes and seminars, along with free group classes for Girl and Boy Scouts. He also regularly partners with the PTA and other community organizations to sponsor events, make donations, and help raise money for various organizations.
