Division of Economic Development Announces Free Job Readiness Program for Brookhaven Job Hunters

Free training classes will teach essential skills for landing a job

Farmingville, NY –  The Brookhaven Division of Economic Development will sponsor a Job Readiness Program, a series of three classes designed to help job seekers get a competitive edge in the job market. The three-hour classes will be held in the second floor Media Room at Brookhaven Town Hall on May 16, May 23 and May 30 at 5:30 p.m. The classes will be taught by John Coverdale, president of the Center for Workplace Solutions, Inc., of Bayport. Mr. Coverdale is a senior level, high-impact business management executive specializing in human resource management, labor and employee relations, higher education and organizational consulting. On June 13, two weeks after the final class, the Division of Economic Development and the Brookhaven Business Advisory Council will hold the 8th annual Job Fair at Town Hall. The event gives job hunters the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from companies in and around Brookhaven who are looking to hire qualified candidates for a wide range of positions.

The Job Readiness Program is for Brookhaven residents only. Space is limited. Registration is currently open with preference given to veterans.
