Farmingville, NY – At the February 28 Town Board meeting, Councilman Kevin LaValle (fourth from right) honored Brian Karp (center) from RE/MAX Eastern Properties in Ronkonkoma for being named Business of the Month for February in Council District 3. The award is given each month to a business that deserves special recognition for the positive impact that they have on the community. During the presentation, Councilman LaValle commended Mr. Karp for his generous contributions to the community, including a $5000 giveaway this year to Literacy Nassau, Services for Individuals with Disabilities and the Nassau/Suffolk Autism Society of America. In 2018 they held their 3rd Annual Movie Fundraiser and earned $5,000, which was divided equally between Sachem SEPTA and Nokomis Elementary. These funds were used to continue providing programs and services to special needs children, their families and educators district-wide.
