Farmingville, NY – Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine, Councilman Michael Loguercio and officials of the Brookhaven Town Industrial Development Agency (IDA) joined the owners of Northeast Quartz Inc./Penn Fabricators for a ribbon cutting and tour of the company’s new facility. The 22,000-square-foot plant, located at 30 Platinum Blvd. in Medford, was completed with economic assistance from the IDA. Land costs and the cost of construction totaled $5.275 million.

The company owners, Robert and Theresa Penn, consolidated operations from Yaphank and Holbrook to the new facility and plan to grow from 63 to 73 full-time equivalent workers. This third-generation family business is a wholesale fabricator of DuPont brand Corian and Zodiaq quartz countertops. The company is expanding into the fabrication of Dekton material, a high-tech, quartz-based product developed by Spain’s Consentino Group that is used for indoor paneling and outdoor siding. Supervisor Romaine said, “I welcome Penn Fabricators to their new state-of-the-art facility. The company’s relocation and expansion shows that Brookhaven Town is a good place to grow your business and tap into a highly skilled workforce. Thanks to the Brookhaven IDA, the company was able to make the move and create more jobs for our residents.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “Penn Fabricators is an innovative company that manufactures a quality product right here in Medford. When you walk into the showroom and plant, it’s obvious that the entire staff takes pride in their work. I thank Robert and Theresa for keeping their business in Brookhaven and wish them the best of luck in their new location.”

This is a beautiful facility “The IDA’s assistance was extremely important,” said Robert Penn. “We can do more things now. We feel we’ve added value to the community.”
