Farmingville, NY –  Brookhaven Town will kick off our spring school/group education program season on Monday, March 20. The program will include a tour of the historic West Meadow Beach, discussion of the unique ecology of the 1.5 mile-long peninsula and education about the invasive species threatening the area. Groups will also help to remove Perennial Pepperweed and other invasive species in the area as part of a cooperative environmental program.

If you have a school class, scouting organization or other community group interested in participating in environmental education programs at West Meadow, please contact the Town of Brookhaven Division of Environmental Protection at 631-451-6455. Weekend, morning and summer programs for residents will be listed in the Town’s Recreation Guide.
