Residents Cleaning Up Neighborhood

Every spring, individuals and groups join the Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest organized cleanup, beautification and community improvement program. The volunteers know that they really make a difference, and the results are dramatic! The communities look clean and beautiful, and there is a sense of hometown pride and accomplishment. View Flyer

Last Year

Last year over 4,000 Brookhaven residents joined 5 million volunteers in more than 20,000 communities across America to pick up nearly 186 million pounds of litter and debris, beautify 81,000 miles of roadway, and clean up rivers, lakes and seashores in their communities.

Pick up your free gloves, bags and t-shirts at Brookhaven Town Hall, third floor, Department of Recycling and Sustainable Materials Management.

  • May 6th to May 17th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • May 14 and 15 from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm
