Farmingville, NY –  On March 2, Councilman Michael Loguercio (left) visited Ridge Elementary School in the Longwood Central School District to celebrate "Read Across America Day," joining thousands of students, parents and educators across the country. Since it was also the birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known worldwide as Dr. Seuss, Councilman Loguercio read his classic book, "Are You my Mother" to the students while joined by the “Cat in the Hat” himself.

Councilman Loguercio said, “I had a wonderful time reading the classic story books to the children that always brings back such great memories for me and my family. As Dr. Seuss said, ‘The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.’”
