Farmingville, NY – On March 16, Councilman Michael Loguercio (left) visited with the “Torch Club” at the Boys and Girls Club of Bellport to help them get started on their newly formed Recycling Club. The Councilman had a discussion with the students about how we should all reduce, reuse and recycle. The students told the Councilman that they were concerned for the environment and they want to keep the community clean. The Councilman also thanked the students for the wonderful poster they created for him.
Councilman Loguercio said, "Recycling should be a priority for us all. It helps decrease the amount of garbage we produce and reduces the amount of debris that finds its way on our streets and roadways. We all need to be proactive and this initiative is a great way to start new good recycling habits for the youngsters and their families."
