Farmingville, NY – Brookhaven Town Receiver of Taxes Louis Marcoccia is pleased to announce there is a secure after-hours drop box for tax payments located at the entrance to Town Hall. Mr. Marcoccia advises that the drop off box is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and that only check or money order will be accepted. In addition, there is a drop box for worn or tattered American Flags. All flags are collected by the local VFW for retirement in accordance with U.S. Flag Code Regulations. Brookhaven Town Hall is located at One Independence Hill in Farmingville.
It was also announced that offsite tax collection will be available on Wednesday, May 29 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center, located at 739 Route 25A in Mount Sinai. Mr. Marcoccia reminds everyone that only check or money order will be accepted. No cash will be accepted and that taxpayers should bring the following to Rose Caracappa Senior Center: Copy of their tax bill and a check or money order with payment stub. Cash payments will not be accepted. A receipt of payment will be presented to the taxpayer at the center and an additional receipt will be mailed to the taxpayer.
