Supervisor Romaine & Councilman Loguercio Honor Longwood Library for LEED Platinum Certification

Farmingville, NY –  On April 24, Supervisor Ed Romaine (right) and Councilman Michael Loguercio (left) visited the Longwood Public Library to acknowledge the building’s LEED Platinum Certification, the highest level of recognition awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a globally-recognized certification system administered by the USGBC. The library was built with energy-efficient technology and designed as an environmentally friendly, community-centered facility. Pictured with Supervisor Romaine and Councilman Loguercio is Lisa Jacobs, Director of the Longwood Public Library who was presented with a Certificate of Congratulations for earning the LEED Platinum Certification.
