Nurses Appreciation

Farmingville, NY -  On May 6, Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Michael Loguercio celebrated “Nurses Appreciation Day” at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. They presented a proclamation recognizing the dedication of nurses and declared “Nurse Appreciation Day” in the Town of Brookhaven. There are more than 4 million registered nurses in the United States, and by recognizing the day, it highlights how vital they are to healthcare professionals around the world.

Supervisor Romaine said, “I sincerely thank all the nurses who make a difference in the lives of patients and their families. Their dedication and hard work while on the front lines proves how fortunate we are because of their life-saving work.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “As a First Responder with the Ridge Fire Department, I am very familiar with the level of care that patients receive at St. Charles Hospital. When we leave our patient’s there for care, I know they will be in the great hands of the extremely talented and dedicated doctors and nurses that are on staff there.”
