Town Seal

Farmingville, NY -  Brookhaven Town’s Division of Veterans Services will be holding a food drive for veterans in need from Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 28. Last year’s food drive provided more than 300 bags of food to veterans and their families and this year the Town is looking to collect more than 400 bags. The Division of Veterans Services will once again work with local Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) representatives to distribute the donations directly to veterans and their families.

Drop off points for the food drive are:

▪ Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville
▪ Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center, 39 Montauk Highway in Blue Point
▪ Brookhaven Town Highway Department, 1140 Old Town Road in Coram
▪ Rose Caracappa Senior Center, 739 Route 25A in Mount Sinai

Suggested food items for donations include all non-perishables including, but not limited to, canned soups, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, cereal, oatmeal and rice.
