Farmingville, NY - On Saturday, May 11, 2019, Councilman Loguercio marched with his fellow brothers and sisters from Ridge Fire Department during the Annual Memorial Day Parade in Ridge. Every year the Ridge Civic Association, along with the Ridge Fire Department, work together to host this parade that attracts community members and local businesses. The parade runs from Smith Road and ends at the Ridge Veterans Memorial on the corner of Ridge Road and Middle Country Road. Each year, Dave Mann, a Bronze Star decorated Vietnam Veteran and Chaplin from the Patchogue VFW, (pictured with the Councilman) sings the National Anthem at the start of the Memorial Day ceremony.
“Every year I am honored to be a part of the Ridge Memorial Day Parade. I joined not only my fellow elected officials, but the members of the Ridge Fire Department of which I am a volunteer member. Thank you to Ridge Civic and the community that came out to support this event. It is important that we remember to honor our brave men and women, not just on this occasion, but every day,” said Councilman Loguercio.
