Supervisor Romaine Honors Elaine Faith Thompson in Recognition of National Art Award from DAR

Farmingville, NY -  On June 1, Supervisor Ed Romaine (left) was on hand to present a proclamation to Elaine Faith Thompson (center), who has been recognized by the Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with a National Art Award. The presentation was made during a luncheon held at the Bellport Country Club. The theme of the luncheon was “Voices of Victory of Women in Long Island History to Today.” Also pictured is chapter Regent, Dr. Joan Graham Nathan (right).

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has over 175,000 members and 3,000 chapters. It has a Genealogical Research System (GRS) that offers free online databases.
