Supervisor Romaine and Councilwoman Cartright Celebrate Ribbon Cutting Village Chabad

Farmingville, NY -  On June 23, Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilwoman Valerie Cartright attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Village Chabad Center for Jewish Life & Learning located at 360 Nicolls Road in East Setauket.

The new building is 13,000 square-foot sitting on 8.8 acres of property. There are classrooms, study rooms, a sanctuary, offices and a conference room that can hold 200 people for events such as bat and bar mitzvahs and holiday dinners.

Supervisor Romaine said, “We welcome Village Chabad to East Setauket and wish them many successful years here in East Setauket. I thank the Village Chabad for their the many good works that they perform throughout the community.”

“It was a privilege to join the community in welcoming the new Village Chabad Center for Jewish Life and Learning,” said Councilwoman Cartright. “I look forward to continuing to work alongside the Village Chabad as it provides a place for learning and celebration of the Jewish heritage in the Three Village area. The Village Chabad will undoubtedly be a center of Jewish pride, growth, history, and activity within the community.”
