Supervisor Romaine and Councilwoman Cartright Celebrate Ribbon Cutting of Setauket Fire Department

Farmingville, NY -  On June 23, Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilwoman Valerie Cartright attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Setauket Fire Department’s new Headquarters Building on the corner of Old Town Road and Route 25A.

Supervisor Romaine said, “It was an honor to be invited to the ribbon cutting of Setauket Fire Department’s new Headquarters. They respond to hundreds of calls each year and put themselves in harm’s way to save lives and protect property. We are all grateful for their service.”

“The opening of this Fire House is representative of years of hard work and commitment by the Setauket Fire Department. The efforts made to engage the community in this process is an excellent example of how bringing different stakeholders together can result in a successful project that serves our community,” said Councilwoman Cartright. “We appreciate the dedication of Setauket Fire Department volunteers, members, and administration. We sincerely thank Setauket Fire Department for over 110 years of service towards ensuring the safety of our community.”
