Farmingville, NY -  On June 23, Councilman Michel Loguercio (right) attended the Court of Honor ceremony for new Eagle Scout Devin James Sullivan from Boy Scout Troop 433. Devin is a Junior at Longwood High School who has dedicated over 200 hours of community service with the scouts and school activities.

Devin worked with the Suffolk County Parks Department and his fellow troop members, friends and family, to create and build a pergola on the shore of Lake Ronkonkoma, located at the old entrance of the former “Bavarian Inn”.

Councilman Loguercio said “Thank you for your time and dedication to our community. You are a shining example for all of your peers. We are excited to see what great things you will accomplish next”.

Since the award was presented in 1912, no more than four percent of all Scouts have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than two million young men.
