Farmingville, NY - On July 25, Supervisor Ed Romaine (fourth from left) and Councilman Michael Loguercio (fourth from right) were on-hand for the “golden shovel” groundbreaking ceremony of the new 7-Eleven store to be located on the corner of Middle Country Road and Rocky Point Road in Middle Island. The site included vacant, dilapidated structures for more than 20 years. The new 7-Eleven store will be a state-of-the-art, aesthetically pleasing building that will serve the residents of the community. Also in attendance at the ground breaking were 7-Eleven representatives, developer Mike Nelin (third from right) and members of the Middle Island Civic Association (MICA), including president Gail Lynch Bailey (second from right) and MICA officer Frank Bailey (right).
