[ARCHIVED] LIRR Grade Crossing Rehabilitation Scheduled for Locust Avenue in East Moriches

Farmingville, NY - To complete grade crossing rehabilitation and in response to community concern, repaving is scheduled on the LIRR's Montauk Branch in the following area:

EAST MORICHES - Locust Avenue Road Crossing
Friday, August 9 from 7:00 AM through 4:30 PM

Pine Street Grade Crossing will be permanently repaved and closed to road traffic.
During those hours, vehicles will use County Road 80 for alternate access.

While the work is in progress, the LIRR and MTA Police will be on site to facilitate safe traffic control. Visit the MTA website for more information.
