Farmingville, NY – On March 2, Deputy Supervisor Dan Panico visited Grundy Avenue Elementary School in Holbrook to participate in the “Readers are Leaders” program. Every year, at the beginning of March, schools across the country kick-off “National Reading Month” by celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss (March 2).

Deputy Supervisor Panico said, “Reading proficiently is a key component to a successful early childhood education. Today I read Dr. Seuss' "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" to Mrs. Krouse's 2nd Grade Class at Grundy Avenue Elementary School during their Readers Are Leaders Day event.”
