Farmingville, NY – On March 29, Supervisor Ed Romaine visited Dayton Elementary School in Manorville to donate a compost tumbler to be used for their Community Garden. The students will collect lunch scrap items such as banana peels, apple cores and other food waste to be placed in the tumbler. The generated compost will be cured and the finished product utilized in the courtyard garden beds.
