Patchogue, NY – – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Neil Foley have announced the paving of Dahlia Drive South, Dahlia Drive West and Orchid Road in Patchogue. The total cost for this project was approximately $214,000.
Prior to the resurfacing of these roadways, crews completed concrete restoration, including replacement of damaged curbing and aprons, and inspected all drains within the paving project. Crews replaced 2,670 linear feet of curbing and 1,024 square feet of aprons at a cost of $129,000.
“The roadways in this neighborhood were significantly deteriorated and had been on our high priority list,” Superintendent Losquadro said. “They now provide a safer, smoother ride to residents, pedestrians and motorists.”
Councilman Foley said, "The Highway Department has been restoring roads at such a steady pace. Our roadways are in good hands, and I'm glad we're all able to drive under safer conditions because of their ongoing hard work."
