Brookhaven Honored Long Island ABATE for their Support of Local Veterans Groups

Farmingville, NY -  Recently, Councilman Michael Loguercio (left) and Councilwoman Valerie Cartright (right) honored the members of Long Island ABATE (American Bikers for Awareness Training and Education) at their annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner held at the Tordik-Diederich-Duffield VFW Post 4927 in Centereach. At the dinner, ABATE announced that they will be donating $160,000 to local veterans’ organization and groups this year. Over the past five years, Long Island ABATE has had five Veterans Runs and raised over $600,000 for Long Island Veterans. Also pictured is Long Island ABATE President Jim Barr (center). Long Island ABATE is a not for profit 501(C) (3) motorcycle rights organization with over 1800 members.
