Councilwoman Bonner Meets with Miller Place High School Students

Farmingville, NY – On April 30, Councilwoman Jane Bonner was invited to speak with Miller Place High School students from the CEO, Psychology and Participation in Government classes. CEO is a course that focuses on career exploration and work based learning that provides the required hours for a student to potentially receive a New York State Career Development and Occupational Studies credential, a certificate that the student has the knowledge and skills necessary for entry level employment. Pictured in the right photo are Councilwoman Bonner and Miller Place High School teacher Tara Penske.

Councilwoman Bonner said, “One of the best aspects of my job as Councilwoman is meeting with high school students who will soon be heading off to college or the workplace. It’s such an exciting time for these youngsters and I am happy to do what I can to encourage them to excel in whatever they choose to do in the future.”
