Farmingville, NY - Recently, the Yaphank Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary hosted their annual Christmas Parade. Hundreds of friends and family members from the community attended while revelers of all ages dressed in holiday costumes marched and rode aboard the beautifully decorated fire trucks from several local departments. In addition to the wonderfully decorated trucks and floats, the parade line-up included the Longwood Marching Band and many local businesses that decorated floats to show their holiday spirit.
"I was honored to be asked to judge once again this year. Joined by my fellow elected officials and community dignitaries, we had a tough job picking only a few out of the amazing display that filled the parade route. Thank you so much to the Yaphank Ladies Auxiliary and the Yaphank Fire Department, for a very fun and festive event. A special thank you to all who participated, especially the fire departments from other communities. I look forward to next year and seeing that community pride once again."
