[ARCHIVED] “Career EDGE” Seminars

Career EDGE Seminar

This program is designed to help unemployed and under-employed women gain professional skills, accelerate their job search and build confidence through weekly training sessions, one-on-one career coaching and networking in a supportive environment. Graduates are awarded a Certificate in Professional Development.

Description

The six-session program will cover:

  • Strategies to succeed in today’s job market, including hands-on mach interviews
  • Customizing and composing your resumé and cover letters that will make a difference
  • Work with a professional career mentor
  • Navigating LinkedIn and other social media for job leads, and much more

Cohort 1:

The session dates are April 1 (orientation), 9, 16, 23, 30, May 6 (graduation) from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The Career EDGE sessions will be held  at Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill in Farmingville.

Cohort 2:

The session dates are April 3 (orientation), 9, 16, 23, 30, (joint mock interview held at Brookhaven Town Hall), May 7 (graduation) from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The Career EDGE sessions will be held  at Capital One Headquaters, 1307 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, NY 11747.
