Town Seal

Farmingville, NY -  The Town of Brookhaven has been notified that the NY Blood Center has canceled all remote location blood drives through April 30, including the April 9 event at Brookhaven Town Hall.

The Town of Brookhaven strongly encourages all healthy donors to make an appointment to donate blood at a NY Blood Center. Blood collection sites are disinfected frequently, and extra precautions are being taken to help prevent the person-to-person spread of COVID-19 as per Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. NY Blood Center staff are also practicing health self-assessments prior to presenting at work. Hours have recently been adjusted to reflect the increased need. If you can donate anytime over the next few weeks, please visit www.cbc.org or call 646-739-1827and schedule an appointment.
