Brookhaven Reminds Residents of Prohibition Against Dogs in Public Parks

Town Seal

Farmingville, NY -  While many residents are taking advantage of Town parks facilities to get fresh air and exercise during the current COVID-19 crisis, Brookhaven officials remind residents that no dogs are allowed in Town Parks and facilities at any time for the safety of other residents as well as for sanitary reasons. Bringing a domestic pet into a Brookhaven park is a violation of Town Code and is punishable by a fine. Brookhaven Town Public Safety officers will be enforcing this code as they patrol local facilities to ensure compliance of public distancing requirements and other Town Codes.
