Town Seal

Farmingville, NY - Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Dan Panico have announced that the Town will resume community paper shredding and e-waste recycling events beginning on Saturday, May 30 at the Center Moriches Public Library. In an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 pandemic, new safety protocols will be in place during Town of Brookhaven 2020 recycling events. They include:

•All residents must wear a mask.
•One person per vehicle.
•Residents disposing of e-waste will not need to leave their cars. They should clearly label what is e-waste and what is not, and the recycling crew will remove it from their vehicle.
•Residents looking to shred paper will be asked to place their documents in a bin next to the shred trucks.

The upcoming community paper shredding and e-waste event will take place on:

Saturday, May 30
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Center Moriches Library, 235 Montauk Highway, Center Moriches

The Drug Take-Back program will not be available at this event. To sign up for notifications on the status of the program at future events, go to Towns Website.

These Town of Brookhaven Recycling events help residents dispose of sensitive documents and e-waste in an environmentally safe manner. Community recycling events are open to all Brookhaven Town residents. For more information, call 451-TOWN (8696) or visit the Recycling Events page.
