Councilwoman Bonner & Town Co-Sponsor the William Waltz Mount Sinai Harbor and Cedar Beach Clean Up

Farmingville, NY –  Councilwoman Jane Bonner and the Town of Brookhaven will co-sponsor the annual William Waltz Mount Sinai Harbor and Cedar Beach Cleanup, beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing through early afternoon. All volunteers are welcome. Refreshments and lunch will be provided at the Mount Sinai Yacht Club. Students and scouts may use this activity for community service hours. Upon arrival at the club, volunteers will be provided with bags, gloves and pickers, and assigned to specific areas of the Harbor/Beach Complex.

Councilwoman Bonner said, “This is a great tradition for all the organizations that come out to help clean up the harbor and beach. I look forward to lending a hand and helping to get the harbor ready for the summer season.”

This event, part of the Great Brookhaven Cleanup, is sponsored by the Mount Sinai Harbor Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Town of Brookhaven, Mount Sinai Yacht Club, Tuscany Gourmet Market, Ralph’s Fishing Station, Old Man’s Boatyard and The Waltz Family. Materials and dumpsters will be provided by the Town of Brookhaven Department of Waste Management.
