Brookhaven Councilman Dan Panico Announces Special Recycling Event

Farmingville, NY –  Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico encourages residents to take advantage of a special recycling event to be held on Saturday, June 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event will take place in the parking lot of the William Floyd Middle School located at 630 Moriches Middle Island Road in Moriches.

The special recycling event will enable residents to dispose of household electronics such as game consoles, telephones, printers and VCR’s, shred sensitive documents and get rid of unused or expired prescriptions and other pills, to be collected by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. This service to residents is provided by Brookhaven’s Waste Management Department and is intended for disposal of household refuse only; no commercial items will be accepted.

“This event gives residents a great opportunity to dispose of household refuse in a safe and responsible manner, including prescriptions and other drugs, and we hope that folks will come out and support this endeavor.”
