Farmingville, NY - October 21, Councilman Michael Loguercio (third from right) presented two new Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to the Brookhaven Town Senior Softball League members at the Centereach Parks Administration office during their Executive Board Meeting. The Councilman worked with Commissioner Ed Morris (second from right) and Senior Softball Supervisor Pete Eaton (right) to acquire these life-saving defibrillators so that the Senior Softball League would have them on hand in the event of an emergency during practice or while playing their games.
"As a first responder, I know all too well that seconds count and knowing that these folks want to stay active and play softball, AEDs can mean the difference between life and death in an emergency. Thank you to Commissioner Morris for his efforts in assisting me to see this come to fruition and to Mr. Eaton who worked with my office to advocate on behalf of the players. I know we all look forward to the day when we can get back out on the field and ‘Play Ball!’"
