This very handsome guy is Tamale, he is looking for a better life than he had the first time around. He arrived after being picked up stray by an Animal Control Officer, no one ever called or came in looking for him. He arrived on the skinny side, with a scar around his neck either from an old collar or from being tied out. This poor guy had no manners or any idea what is expected of him. He is super sweet, affectionate and always wants to be where you are. When he first arrived he had no idea what a bone was or how to use his front feet to hold it, what a toy was for and it seems like he never actually walked on a leash before he got here. He is learning more everyday, he knows sit and will sit at every doorway to go out, he walks great on a no pull harness and is now enjoying toys and bones. Tamale will need a family with patience, someone who is willing to put the time and love into him as he will return that love ten fold. He is only asking for his day to shine and show the world that he can do it, the opportunity that every dog deserves. He has so much love and loyalty to share, he would be thrilled to be your new best friend. He goes on regular doggy playdates at the shelter and he does really well however, the cats were a different story, he is not a fan. He will do best in an adult household as he is still learning manners, his basic obedience and he can be jumpy. Tamale is 70 pounds, about three to four years young, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
