Farmingville, NY - On Sunday, November 22, Supervisor Ed Romaine (center) was at Brookhaven Town Hall to thank the Red Knights Motorcycle Club New York Chapter 26 for their co-sponsorship of the “Drive-In Drop-Off” Toy Run. The group partnered with the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau INTERFACE program to host the annual pre-holiday event. The annual drive provides thousands of toys to children ranging in age from infant to 15-years-old. In 2019, the Red Knights and other INTERFACE co-sponsored holiday events provided toys for 1,416 families in need, including 8,008 children. Go to BrookhavenNY.gov for more information about the Town’s INTERFACE program and how you can donate during this holiday season.
Supervisor Romaine said, “This is a very difficult time for so many people who are struggling to make ends meet. Thanks to the Red Knights Motorcycle Club and the Town’s INTERFACE program, many children will receive gifts despite the hardships their families are facing. I wish everyone a happy holiday season and please, stay safe.”
The Town of Brookhaven INTERFACE program provides a variety of goods and services to those in need through volunteerism and generous donations from our partners. The Town greatly appreciates the efforts of the volunteers and the generosity of our residents who donate. For more information, go to the Town's website.
