The Town of Brookhaven's Disability Task Force supports the mission of Ken's Krew, which is an organization that provides job placement, training, and support for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities in competitive employment.

Brookhaven Town Hall In Person Tax Payment Changes
Town of Brookhaven Receiver of Taxes, Louis J. Marcoccia has announced changes in the way that residents can pay their taxes in-person at Town Hall. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Town Hall is closed to the public, but every department is staffed and open for business Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Christmas Tree Burn 2020
A dramatic demonstration to illustrate the destructive fire hazard associated with the improper care of live Christmas trees . Utilizing a “burn pod” furnished to emulate a living room, members of the Town’s Division of Fire Prevention attempted to ignite a fresh Christmas tree, which did not burn. They replaced the watered tree with a dry, unwatered tree which quickly ignited in a ball of fire, causing damage to the items in the “burn pod.” The Chief Fire Marshal also demonstrated the proper use of Christmas tree lights , menorahs in use during the holidays.
