Farmingville, NY - On December 16, Supervisor Ed Romaine (left) announced that more than 100 women’s pajama sets were donated by Victoria’s Secret corporate to Dress for Success Brookhaven. The pajamas will be distributed to women in homeless shelters located in Brookhaven Town. Pictured with the Supervisor is Sharon Boyd, Executive Director of Dress for Success Brookhaven.
Supervisor Romaine said, “Pajamas are one of the most requested items in homeless shelters and Dress for Success Brookhaven has answered the call. Thanks to this generous donation by Victoria’s Secret corporate, many women who are in need will be more comfortable, especially during the winter months.”
Dress for Success is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the developmental tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Established in 1999 with the support of the Town of Brookhaven, the Division of Women’s Services and more than 50 volunteers, Dress for Success Brookhaven has been instrumental in helping more than 6,000 women achieve their goal of becoming self-sufficient and economically independent.
