Supervisor Romaine Thanks Cub Scout Pack 221 from Center Moriches for Volunteer Effort in the 2017

Farmingville, NY –  On May 22, Supervisor Ed Romaine (back row, second from left) visited with Manorville Cub Scout Pack 221 to thank them for their participation in the 2017 Great Brookhaven Cleanup held on Saturday, May 20. Pack 221 organized over 60 volunteers to participate by picking up litter at Brookhaven Town's Kalers Pond Park in Center Moriches, as well as Terrell’s River County Park.

 More than 3500 people participated in the Great Brookhaven Cleanup at locations throughout Brookhaven Town. It was co-sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven’s Department of Waste Management and Keep America Beautiful, Inc. The Annual Great Brookhaven Clean Up is part of a national effort that draws nearly 2.5 million volunteers in more than 15,000 communities across America who came together to pick up litter, renew parks, and clean miles of roadway, rivers, lakes, and seashore.
