Farmingville, NY – On March 27, Councilman Kevin LaValle joined officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s 6th Precinct COPE office at the Axis Church Community Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt stop at Town Hall in Farmingville. Residents started at the church and received a map. They had to take a picture at each stop where they discovered hidden Easter eggs. More than 140 families (456 adults and children) participated and returned to the church for prizes and pictures with superheroes and the Easter Bunny. Pictured left to right are SCPD COPE Officer William Zieman; Axis Church Executive Pastor Kara Bocchino; Councilman Kevin LaValle and SCPD COPE Officer John Efstathiou.

“I always look forward to attending this event and after a year off due to the pandemic, it was great to see families outside and having fun while staying safe. I thank the Axis Church for organizing this event and the Suffolk County COPE officers for their participation. This is only made possible by wonderful volunteers whose time and effort made the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt a day for all of us to enjoy.”
